A: Do not place the unit:
-
Directly on or around soft furnishings (such as bedding or curtains).
-
Near electronically sensitive devices such as a computer (6/10 cm).
-
Near sources of heat (such as a radiator, fireplace or oven).
-
Near oxygen tanks or other combustible gases.
A: For maximum performance, place your BlueAir purifier at least 4 inches (10 cm) away from walls or other objects.
A: Close your windows and doors. This keeps dirty air out and pure air in, easing the load on your purifier and making your filters last longer. This is especially important for people using a BlueAir purifier to help ease allergy or asthma symptoms.
Vacuum or wipe your unit clean. Visible particles or "fluff" can build up outside the air intake grids of your purifier. Just vacuum this away, or wipe it clean with a damp cloth. If you have a 402 unit, you can also vacuum it on the inside when the side panels are open.
A: BlueAir engineers design each component with environmental and human health in mind, from the exterior finish to the non-toxic filter media. BlueAir purifiers are energy efficient, and, because they're manufactured from superior materials, have an exceptionally long service life. And all components of BlueAir purifiers are 100% recyclable.
Long life. BlueAir purifiers are built of superior materials and designed to last longer. Our units' housing is made of durable, galvanized steel, not petroleum-based plastic.
Environmentally friendly materials. All materials in a BlueAir purifier are 100% recyclable. But if your unit ends up in a landfill instead of the recycling plant, the steel housing will never release toxins into the environment, and the powder-coat finish won't offgas harmful chemicals.
No chemical additives. The polypropylene fibers that make up BlueAir filters are waterproof, so they never grow bacteria or mold – and that means there's no need to add chemical bacteriostats or mold inhibitors.
Energy efficient. BlueAir purifiers use no more power than a standard lightbulb: on average, no more than 20W on low to 120W on high.
A: The consumer must make sure that the purifier:

A: The casing is manufactured in Sweden, the motors are manufactured in Germany, and the filters are manufactured in Ireland and Texas.
A: Instead of discharging a windy stream of filtered air, the BlueAir units diffuse air gently through an area six times greater than the average air cleaner. BlueAir produces virtually no noticeable draft when operating on its lowest setting, while still providing an exceptional air exchange rate.
A: It costs about the same to clean the air in your home as it does to power a single light bulb: only 15 watts on low to 110 watts on high, depending on the unit.
