The Vornado® AC 500 Whole Room Air Purifier uses true HEPA filtration–the most effective filtration available–to remove up to 99.97% of airborn particles and allergens down to .3 microns. The Whole Room Purifier actively circulates and filters all the air throughout a room. Without circulation, the air cleaner is only cleaning the immediate area around the unit. The AC 500 uses both HEPA and carbon filters. The carbon pre-filter absorbs odors and traps larger particles. Together, they trap dust, pollen, pet dander, smoke, bacteria, mold spores, dust mites and more.
