One complete filter change: One standard HEPASilent™ filter of polypropylene (equal particle efficiency) with more activated carbon for better smoke and gas removal.
The enhanced SmokeStop™ filter is a new progressive carbon filter. Its honeycomb-type structure improves airflow and has hundreds of odor absorbing carbon pellets.
Like all of our filters, the new carbon filter has a progressive structure with three layers: a chipboard frame and outer layer, a pleat element, and a carbon element. The new SmokeStop™ is designed to treat cigarette smoke, acid gases, and ammonia.
The filter uses a high content of granular carbon for increased efficiency, and its new carbon blend is designed to capture more compounds and gases to lower the pressure point. This means the filter delivers a higher airflow (in cu. ft. per min.) than our previous SmokeStop™ filter.
Since the honeycomb design does not require a thick binding agent throughout, all the absorption pores are open for added filtration capacity. The higher activation level of the carbon pellets increases efficiency of the filter.
Compatible with all Blueair 400 Series Air Purifiers (any model number that starts with 4).
